Morgantown Parks and Recreation is facing significant challenges with a funding deficit and aging facilities. Through the Mon River Towns Program and West Virginia Community Development Hub, Cycle Forward was contracted to help rebrand the organization and “make the case” for the importance of parks and recreation.

The Cycle Forward project team (I partnered with MSM Digital) held a strategy session with Morgantown Parks and Recreation and then followed with a brand update and a 12-page case statement that outlines the challenges faced as well as the difference that parks and recreation facilities make in the lives of local residents.

The staff enthusiastically introduced the new brand in 2016, and the case statement is thought to have influenced a successful levy in support of parks and recreation.
